 A bridge... Yes, I know y'all are like "huh?" Let me explain... A bridge helps you to go past a difficult obstacle and reach your destination, the other side. Hip Hop is a bridge, meaning kids already dig it, they hear it, they understand it. Christianity is the other side, the difficult obstacle is people's negative stereotypes of what it's all about. By speaking to the kids through DOPE hip hop music it builds trust which can in turn lead to them deciding to become disciples of Christ. A lot of interference is often in the way to derail the process, that's why a lot of prayer and faith is necessary. The Spirit must touch people's hearts. Now you know. |
