AKA: Tha Point Man REPPIN': Albany, NY STORY: It was Tarik's dream to have some his heroes from the Christian underground hip-hop scene on the CD. Hearing that "Northern Touch" hip hop collaboration was created by mailing a DAT tape accross Canada, TK was inspired to make a posse cut track featuring a bunch of these unsigned emcees (since signed would be too hard). Soulheir and Listener (two people Tarik contacted through e-mail) both suggested that Sev Statik would be interested in doing it too. Later Tarik decided just to have Sev guest on his solo track "The Gift". TK kept bugging Sev till one day in the mailbox was Sev's mix-down of "The Gift" with his vocals at the end. A beautiful job...the song went quite nicely, Sev's verse is great. WHO IS HE?: For those who don't know, Sev is a veteran on the scene, an old schooler who is now part of two legendary crews, the Tunnel Rats and deepspace5. The new deepspace5 album will be the first major release he will be a part of as it will be on Uprok Records this summer. He has tons of appearances under his belt.
