Tarik apologizes for the somewhat wack freestyle and not bigging-up everybody, will do better next time!

-Props to Bish & his band and Belo for their great performance opening for Dayz Wage at the Foothills Alliance Church.

JANUARY 11, 2001

-E-Roc digs NDIT. He said the submission of the track "Power" for the compilation "Urban Soldiers 3" was one of his favorite tracks. If it makes it on it will be great for NDIT and the crew as it will be distributed in christian bookstores across the US.

-Busy day tomorrow, first Bishop opens for Dayz Wage tomorrow at Foothills Alliance Church. Belo will be doing a couple songs. Next, NDIT and TK invade CJSW's Mental Illness show! We'll play an hour of underground hip-hop performed by Christians to introduce the genre to Calgary. Word up to Cosm for the opps!

JANUARY 6, 2001

-TK did a short on-air promo last night on DJ Cosm's "Mental Illness" program on CJSW FM. Props to Angel Guerra.

-Currents Circulated has moved up to #9 on SphereOfHiphop.com's Top 10 MP3 list.

JANUARY 4, 2001

-Blessed New Year to all! I will try to  get an article I did on NDIT for school posted on the site this week.

-Currents Circulated is #10 on SphereOfHiphop.com's Top 10 MP3 list!

-The show at the Bamboo Club on Feb. 13 is now set. DJ Cosm will be having an intimate & interactive session with COT on his radio show soon.

-The track submission of "Encore!" to Sphere of Hip Hop was well received, it was better than what they expected. There is a very good chance it will make it on. The compilation has a very impressive roster and may be distributed on BEC/Uprok Records. It could make waves...this could be something really big.

-We had a meeting last week to  re-affirm our commitment to the  group and now have a regular meeting time. This alone will help us by leaps and bounds.

NOVEMBER 18, 2000

-A novel could be written about the events leading up to and events that took place at the 2nd Annual Hip-Hop Night "Mic Check" that happened last night. Overall it was a huge success and was a lot more organized and was recieved more than last year. Peace to the organizers and performers (Shane Love & Dimitri, Bishop, COT, Israel, DJ Nato, DJ Invert, Angela Nurse, Blaze, peace to my boy Tim- stay up). We'd like to sincerely thank everyone for coming out and packing the JCC and for getting so into the vibe, old friends or the new ones we made that night. Hope God blesses you all mightily and you could catch onto our message. Life is tough, and always will be tough- but to all of you, please stand strong and put your trust in God, cuz there will come a time when He is all you can depend on, straight up. I love you all and will pray for us all, cuz we have a lot of battles to fight yet!

-The CD release of COT was last night, thanks to all who bought the disc, and for those of you who didn't, e-mail us and we'll hook you up somehow, whether it be through mail or by seeing you at church, school, whateva. We do plan on getting it sold at stores, but they were just made yesterday so we have to set a lot of stuff up. For those of you non-Calgarians, SphereOfHipHop.com will probably have a few and maybe MP3.com as well for credit card purchase (details will come as it gets worked out). You can also mail order from us if you like by following the directions on the home page. Thank you all so much for your support!

-Yes, the CD artwork is done for some belated news, peace to Mittens for the dope comic-book style design! Peace to Belo for the customized graf writing on each one!

Featured performances include Bishop & his hip-hop band, Crown of Thorns Crew with DJ Invert and Size of ETC. There will be a lot of surprises at this show, and come prepared to be entertained through some dope hip-hop music.

-Tarik is working on some material, stay tuned...

SEPTEMBER 14, 2000

-NEWS! NEWS! Number One, thanks to Angel Guerra, COT has hooked up with a DJ! this has been a concern fo while, and God has blesed us with the skills of New Brunswick native DJ Invert, also an extreme snowboarder! Look for many collabs with DJ Invert in future recordings.

-Number Two, the second annual Hip Hop Night, pioneered by Size of ETC is back and better! It will be November 3 at Theatre 2 in the Jubilee Christian Centre underneath the Calgary Tower. Be prepared for a dope show, for real. This show will also be a release party for the long-delayed COT album "Journey Is Destination", so be there! More info to come...

-SCHOOL! Belo, TK and NDIT are all back in school, Nathan and Dave in Rocky Mountain Bible College in the one year "Edge" program, while Tarik is in a 4-year Journalism degree program at Mount Royal College. Pray for us in the difficulties and stress school brings into our lives, that we will succeed at our studies.

AUGUST 18, 2000

-NDIT returned a few weeks ago from Scotland, thank you for your prayers, according to him it was a very beneficial experience and kids accepted Christ in their hearts while The Source team was doing missions.

-We are running into some problems concluding the recording of the "Journey Is Destination" album. Prayers are greatly appreciated. Good news: we have received some dope verses for two tracks from Sev Statik and Listener from Labklik.

-Recording has happened since June when we did "Half Full, Half Empty" and "Settin' The Record Straight". NDIT recorded tracks on Dave's 4-track for his Scotland trip using DJ Cam, Krush beats, etc. Belo went buckwild on his 4-track recording songs in his room for a time. Tarik recorded two tracks with ETC, "Question Marc?" and "Seven Seconds" in late July. You can listen to the latter two at www.mp3.com/etc1. They will be on a Kwad (of ETC) EP coming sometime.

JULY 12, 2000

-NDIT is leaving for Scotland on Saturday on a missions trip for 2 weeks. He will be performing some solo tracks and selling CD's with his solo material and some COT songs while he is there in addition to normal ministering duties. Uplift him in prayer as this will be a very big event in his life. Read the group's daily journal and find out more about the trip by visiting Whitefire Youth Ministies at the JCC website

-The CD Journey Is Destination... will be coming your way definently in early Fall 2000. 3 more tracks need to be recorded (with producers Petter Smart, Analyst and Deeper Era Productions), interludes will be recorded, DJ scratching will be added, covers need to be designed and duplication of CD's need to be arranged. Pray the rest of the project goes smoothly.
